New Shopping Centre

We are pleased to say that the new and much awaited Tavira shopping centre is due to open in 2009. It will have 50 shops, 12 restaurants, a cinema and be underpinned by a large Carrefour supermarket.

Here is how it will look.

The complex will create 500 new jobs and is is being brought to the town by the well known architects, Suakay.

The confirmation of the centre is undoubtedly great news for anyone with a property in Tavira or someone who is considering buying here. The extra investment will surely only add to the upward movement of house prices in the town.

For those not familiar with it, Tavira is somewhat unique. It remains a very Portuguese town, with a real sense of history. The old cobbled streets and squares are quiet in the daytime but hum with relaxed conversation over meals and drinks in the evenings.
